The most popular safari destination in Tanzania is the Northern Safari Circuit which includes the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and the National Parks of Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Arusha and Mt. Kilimanjaro. In all of Africa, nowhere else provides the sheer numbers and varieties of game or the ease with which they can be viewed. Each park has its own distinctive habitats and their proximity to each other allows for a satisfying safari experience in a relatively short period of time.

Itinerary
Day 1
Leave Arusha after lunch and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara is noted for its large pink flamingo population. There are over 350 species of birds as well as herds of elephant, buffalo, hippopotamus and giraffe. This park is best known for its tree climbing lions. Late in the afternoon return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Make an early morning game drive before breakfast. Return to the camp for breakfast and then drive to Serengeti National Park with lunch boxes and game view en route. The Serengeti is the largest of Tanzania's National Parks. It supports great herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle that number in the millions. Lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas are also seen here. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite.

Day 3
Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park with dinner and overnight at the same campsite.

Day 4
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area via Olduvai Gorge. Picnic lunch taken at the Gorge. The Olduvai Gorge was made famous by Professor Louis Leakey who discovered the skull of Zinjanthropus boisei in 1959. In a side gorge nearby, his wife, Mary Leakey found the Laetoli footprints. Dinner and overnight at the Simba Campsite.

Day 5
Full day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater with lunch boxes. The crater is the largest, unbroken caldera in the world with 610m walls that fall away steeply from the rim. The crater floor is home to elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, black maned lion, cheetah, hyena, gazelle, wildebeest, and many species of birds. Dinner and overnight at the same campsite.

Day 6
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park in time for lunch. After lunch game drive in Tarangire National Park. Thousands of animals migrate to the Tarangire National Park during the dry season because it has a year round supply of water. This park has a large bird population and is known for its tree climbing pythons. Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 7
After breakfast, return to Arusha.
